Wyclef Jean teams up with Timberland on eco-friendly footwear

Today, I had a chance to chop it up with one of the coolest members of one of the coolest groups of all time….The Fugees…The Grammy Award-Winning and Humanitarian Mr. Wyclef Jean! Wyclef did it big at the Underground Station shoe store in Morrow, Georgia at the Southlake Mall where fans stood in line for hours to have a meet and greet with the great himself. Wyclef was in town to promote his big collaboration that he is doing with Timberland Co. Wyclef joined forces with Timberland Company on a 16-boot collection of eco friendly shoes and organic t-shirts as well, that were designed by Haitian art students…how cool is that? Part of the profits is to support reforestation in his home land Haiti and to Yele Haiti, which is a charitable foundation that Wyclef has that started back in 2005. The foundation supports education, health, the environment and community development in the impoverished Caribbean nation.
