So tonight was the first night of the Hollywood round. Also the long awaited arrival of Ellen as the new judge! Now for months there has been excitement for her addition to the show but some have questioned her qualifications for the job. In my opinion I think she has done a great job and plus she adds some much needed comedy to the show! Even tho she is funny at times she is also serious and gives good advice. A good pick by the producers. Tonight we loss some of the fan favorites from the audition rounds. First casualty was “SKIIBOSKI” from Atlanta, I think the guy can actually sing but he doesnt seem to take the Idol opportunity serious enough and plays around too much. Of course he had to give the judges a piece of his mind before making the walk of shame. Another victim from the night was the country bumpkin Vanessa Wolfe, you know the chick who never has rode on an “aeroplane” as she says. It was like she was wayyy out of place and was nervous as crap and she sounded awful. Good riddens! People to watch out for are Katie Stevens and Andrew Garcia. Katie is a lil 17 year old white girl but blows like a grown black woman! Def looking for her to make top 12. Andrew is a genius for what he did with Paula Abdul’s “Straight Up”. He did an acoustic version and put some soul into it, man I could actually see it being a hit single! These two are my favs I will be following. Well tomorrow is group night and also when folks start acting a damn fool! Look forward to lots of cuts and drama! So anyone pick out any favorites yet?

Lil Wayne Says Farewell
Though he hopefully won’t be gone long, dwayne Michael Carter or Lil Wayne is headed to prison today. He took to Ustream to say his last remarks to his fans before he turns himself in. Wayne is headed to Rikers in New York to begin his 1 year and 8 month sentence. I really am sad to see him go, but I know when he get out the music scene WILL be shut down!
“To all my real fans, I really, really really really love you. I love you with all of me for real. I love you all so much, thank you from the bottom of my heart. And do not forget about me, because I will never forget about you. And i cannot wait for you to see me again. I’m out.” #pray4wayne

RazB & Tila Tequila
I wish there was a self destruct button on washed up celebs who just won’t give up. Sadly, there isn’t, but please believe I am thinking one up! First on my list of attacks is RazB. You know when B2K was hot I was all for the group, then the constant tries for stardom following the break-up were cute, now there just sad.
As if his music career could get any worse, RazB is listed as the first artist on Tila Tequila’s new record label *Blank Stare*. Thats right folks, Lil Ms.Double Shot is Sir Just Won’t Fall Off’s manager. Please excuse my excitement………
But…to each his own, best of luck to the both of them!

The Box Office Hustle!!!
Welcome back to The Box Office Hustle!!! Once again, we see two new releases in the top three this weekend. If you wanna see how they place, read on dear friends.
Arriving in the number three spot this weekend is “From Paris with Love”, starring John Travolta and Jonathan Rhys Meyers. This is a CIA spy movie that blends itself into the buddy cop films that “Lethal Weapon” made famous. It looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun. John Travolta is always reliable, as far as performance. A low ranking CIA operative (Meyers) is forced to team up with an expert, loose cannon agent in order to thwart a terrorist plot in Paris. This film will rely, heavily, on the star power of Travolta. In addition, it is from the same director of the sleeper hit, “Taken”, starring Liam Neeson. Expect this film to, easily make $10 million this weekend. The movie is rated R for strong violence, language, and brief sexuality.
Debuting at number two is “Dear John”, starring Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried. This movie has a lot going for it. First, it comes from the same author that brought us the very popular “The Notebook”. Also, it stars two up and coming actors who have had some decent successes at the box office with hits like “GI Joe” (Tatum), and “Mama Mia” (Seyfried). It tells the story of two lovers kept apart by the current wars overseas. This should play well for the ladies and make a great date movie. This film should make around $16 million this weekend. The film is rated PG-13 for sensuality and violence (not in the same scene).
Finally, and once again, (YAWN) “Avatar” will reign supreme again. From a reporting standpoint, I am really getting tired of telling you this every week. When will the madness end. I look forward to somebody knocking this film off it’s pedestle. Don’t get me wrong, the film is great. But, it’s just everywhere. It’s recent 9 Academy Award Nominations will keep this film on top this week and perhaps the week after. The movie will garner around $23 million this weekend. Instead of showing you the trailer again, I thought it would be a nice change to show you a video making fun of the films hype. It is not to be taken seriously. Again, I like the movie…I just thought this was funny.
We’ve got some exciting things coming your way in the coming weeks with this blog. Stay tuned to find and expect more from The Box Office Hustle!!! Until then, have a great weekend and GO GET HUSTLED!!!

Waka Gives the Run Down on being Shot
As you know Waka Flocka is out of the hospital and is now recuperating from the incident that happened a few weeks ago. Waka was telling MTV how before the shooting he was in the studio working on a song which he believes will be his next single called “Rumors”
“I made ‘Rumors’ probably like a month before I got shot,” Waka said earlier this week in his home, right on the outskirts of Atlanta. “I always hear the craziest rumors about me — I got shot, I got robbed. I died. Just crazy stuff. They kidnapped my daughter, kidnapped my kids. Man, I ain’t got no kids, period. … I was like, ‘Damn, I need to make a song about that.’ I made one verse. Then I was like, ‘Man, I ain’t finnin’ to talk about no haters.’ To me, more people love me than hate me. I gotta focus on them. I’m hot. That’s how I felt. Then I ended up getting shot for real. ‘Rumors,’ I’m gonna focus on that right now, drop that. Set that up for my next single. I’m gonna grand-slam that.”
“O let’s do it” is really going hard in the streets and is really a club banger. Waka goes on to explain the reason behind the song.
“When I made the song, I felt I messed my money up, ‘O Let’s Do It’ means any way you wanna do it. You wanna fight, you wanna pow-pow? You wanna bite, scratch, arm-wrestle? O, let’s do it.”
The song is hot and is still climbing the charts as we speak but nothing is hotter than other rappers blessing the mic for the remixes from Ludacris to Lil Wayne but the official remix to “O let’s do it” features Diddy, Rick Ross and Gucci Mane which came out Wednesday. Check it out, this ish is hottttt!!!!!!

Buzzin: The Blueprint 3
OK this is my only biased review LOL…. ONLY because this is my favorite artists and all the reviews on this album have not been up to par so I chose to review it though it is not new!
In an industry dominated with artists popular by gimmicks, affiliations, looks and physique, Jay-Z relies solely on skill to be the basis of his dominance with his latest release of The Blueprint 3, the final installment to his blueprint series. The fifteen track LP serves to be Jay-Z’s most unique album yet due to the different selection of production and his constant reference to “ushering a new sound.” Production includes Jay-Z’s in-house producer Kanye West, Swizz Beats, Timbaland, Inkredibles, and No-ID. Features include Drake, Kid Cudi, Young Jeezy, and Alicia Keys.
Jay-Z reassures all critics who thought he would have “lost it” with getting older that he still has a charismatic delivery, witty punch lines, creates some of the most catchy hooks, and constructs clever concepts. Opening up the album with “What We Talkin’ About,” Jay-Z sets the tone for the album that the artist has elevated to new thinking with his music and distinguishes what he feels is important for him to discuss. In the Swizz Beats produced “On to the Next One,” he opens up the song “Hov on some new shit, niggas like how come/ niggasa want my old shitt, buy my old album.” The rapper/entrepreneur proved to be one of the most high profile trendsetters in entertainment with “Off That,” providing a list of things that are “in” and “out”. Jay-Z also proclaims an end to the usage of the instrument that made T-Pain infamous with the first single from the album, “D.O.A” (Death of Auto-Tune). A surprisingly more humble Jay-Z shows appreciation and tribute to a list of other artists he felt have been successful in the music industry on “A Star is Born” ranging from Nelly, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, and Drake.
Of course, there are some expectations that will be fulfilled in a Jay-Z Album. The Brooklyn, New York native has always paid tribute to his hometown. He follows the formula and provides a new anthem for the state with “Empire State of Mind,” replacing the sample with lovely vocals of Alicia Keys. There is also the female oriented record. Cleverly, he uses a battle of the sexes with the song “Venus vs Mars” offering the differences, similarities, and what ultimately leads to the downfall of this relationship. Aside from the songs the expected songs, the weak points of the album are the songs addressed to the critics that are either also known as (aka) or have the potential to be “Haters.” One of West’s most disappointing production efforts, Jay-Z and West go back and forth offering reasons for their dominance and why they are hated on. “Reminder” is a decent record but the title sums up the song. He gives you a checklist of accomplishments and why he is at this point in his career. Besides for some quotable lines and the Joe Budden diss (“Ordinary Joes button up”), the song is unnecessary. It does not take a committed fan to be aware of the artist’s success.
Jay-Z is righteously a living legend in the music industry that will continue to produce good music. However, he must live up with the responsibility of going a different route and straying away from reminding the public of what he has done. As he stated, we should be afraid of what he gon’ do next!
Well thats my review, what do you think of this album? Let us know! Remember, follow me on twitter @IamDraz! Truly yours, signing off!
